The Milers and More is a running club composed of people who are interested in running or walking to improve their overall fitness. We are located in Millen, Georgia. Our youngest member is 15 years old, our oldest member is 74. Club members compete in a number of races each year ranging in distance from 5 kilometers to the marathon. We also have members who compete in duathlons several times each year.

Our club has two major projects each year. In March, 2009, we will host the 6th Annual Super Eagle Day 5K Road Race and 1 Mile Fun Run. The 5K course is USATF certified #GA05005WC. Results and photos from the first five Super Eagle Day races are posted on this web-site.

In November, 2008, we will host the 12th Annual Magnolia Springs 4.8 Mile USATF Cross Country Championship and 1 Mile Cross Country Fun Run/Walk. NOTE: ABOUT 1/2 MILE OF THE RACE COURSE IS RUN ON ASPHALT, THE REST OF THE COURSE IS ON DIRT TRAILS. Runners may run on the shoulder of the paved road. Results from 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007, as well as pictures from our 2004 and 2005 race are posted on this web site.

Information about these two races is available by clicking on the appropriate link on our home page.

In April 2008, our club coordinated the USATF Masters Track and Field Championships at Savannah State University.

The Millen Milers joined other area running clubs and helped sponsor The Freedom Run 5K at Camp Striker in Iraq. Our club recently received a thank-you note, photograph and race number from Major Charles Bennett and a Certificate of Appreciation from LTC Harry McCorkle from Camp Striker, Iraq.
