MAGNOLIA SPRINGS 4.8 MILE USATF CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP

One of our club's major projects each year is the Magnolia Springs 4.8 Mile Cross Country Race at Magnolia Springs State Park.

NOTE: THE COURSE HAS ABOUT 1/2 MILE THAT IS RUN ON ASPHALT, THE REST OF THE COURSE IS RUN ON DIRT TRAILS.

Members of the Jenkins County High School Interact Club volunteer each year to help at the race. Volunteers for the 2007 race were: Chelsea Edwards, Vianey Guzman, Boyd Sasser, Katie Johnson, Bobby Boone, Bridgette Johnson, Samantha Barrs, Shelia Boone and Anna from Augusta. A big thank you goes out to these students for helping make our race a success!!

The 11th Annual Magnolia Springs Cross Country Race is scheduled for November 10, 2007. The 4.8 mile race will beign at 9:00 a.m. and the 1 Mile Fun Run will begin shortly after the start of the 4.8 mile race.

Magnolia Springs is located six miles north of Millen on highway # 25. NOTE: THERE IS A $3.00 PARKING FEE AT MAGNOLIA SPIRNGS STATE PARK.
