Q - What time should I arrive for the race?

A – If you are registering on race morning, you should arrive at the registration area between 40 – 45 minutes prior to race time. If you are pre-registered you should pick your race packet up 25 – 30 minutes before race time.



Q - How do I get to the starting line?

A – The starting line is on Harvey St., on the east side of the courthouse.



Q - Where should I park?

A – Ample parking is available along the side streets near the courthouse. Please do not park in parking lots of the businesses that are open on Saturday morning.



Q - Is parking free?

A - Yes



Q - Is there water available?

A – The courthouse will be open for water and restrooms; water is available near the 1.5 mile mark of the 5K.



Q - I’m usually pretty hungry after a race, will there be refreshments?

A – There will be fruit and water available after the races.



Q - What if I forget my race number?

A – Try not to forget your number, but if you do, notify a race official for instructions.



Q - What if I don’t know the course?

A – The course is well marked and the lead car is a Millen Police car.



Q – Are there first aid stations?

A – No first aid stations, but members of the Jenkins County EMT will be on site.



Q - What if this is my first race?

A – There will be a number of volunteers near the start/finish area. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. Just relax and enjoy your first race!



Q – Where is the best place for my family to watch my fantastic finish?

A – The last ½ mile is the downhill stretch on Harvey Street. Your friends can just walk north on Harvey Street and they will have a great view of your finish.



Q - What if I’m late?

A – Don’t be late. The printed race times are just that………all three races will start on time.



Q - If I’m a walker, where should I stand at the starting line?

A – Walkers should be near the back of the starting pack. If you line up ahead of runners, you will create an area of congestion that we all want to avoid.



Q - If I run a 7-minute pace, where should I stand at the starting line?

A – The faster runners should line up near the front of the starting group. The race director will reminder runners where they should be at the start of all three races.



Q - Where do I get my t-shirt and my race number?

A – Race packets will be available at Jenkins County Elementary School on Friday, March 9, from noon – 4:00 p.m.; or you may pick up your race packet on the courthouse lawn on Saturday, March 10, 2007.



Q - What if I can’t finish the race?

A – You will finish the race! But if something happens, there are race monitors on the course, just notify one of the volunteers that you are having trouble and they will get you the assistance you need.



Q - What if I don’t pre-register?

A – Late registration will be held on the courthouse square beginning at 7:00 a.m.



Q - When do I get my results?

A – Results will be available immediately after the awards ceremony. Results will be posted on www.millenmilers.com/eagleday.html



Q - Where do the proceeds go?

A – The Jenkins County Elementary School Health Index Committee and the Jenkins County High School boys’ and girls’ track and field teams.



Q - Is there an awards ceremony?

A – Yes, The awards ceremony will be held on the south side of the courthouse on the courthouse lawn.



Q - How can I thank the sponsors and volunteers?

A – We have only one sponsor, The Jenkins County Wellness Project, directed by Mrs. Nan Searles. Someone can point her out at the race. You can thank any of the many volunteers from the Millen Milers and from the community by just walking up and saying, “Thanks!”



Q - Can I run with my dog?

A – No. Having pets in our race invalidates our liability insurance.



Q - What if you didn’t answer my question here?
